My favorite image so far

"The Calling" is one of my favorite pictures that I have taken this year. For me, this photo was a huge learning experience and it furthered my knowledge of Photoshop. I had to darken the background to look like night (which was completely new to me), and that by itself took me around two hours to do. Then I had to teach myself how to create the foggy look, and that was fairly simple compared to the background. All together, this took around five hours to complete, and then a re-edit the next day. Sure, this was a lot of work, but editing is my favorite part of the creation process. Yes, I do love shooting and that is really fun, but editing is where I get to put myself into the image, literally and figuratively. I love getting to create something that is 100% mine. I love the whole process. After all of my creative processing, I love to show what I've created with everyone. I love everything that is creating these images, and I love sharing them with you all.
